The entrepreneurship and macromarketing scholarly communities grieve the loss of Abdul Ali in late December 2018 from a sudden illness. Abdul was a vibrant person who had an infectious laugh which reflected how much he enjoyed life.

He readily joined the editorial team in the summer of 2017 for the upcoming Journal of Macromarketing special issue on entrepreneurship. Abdul’s interest in entrepreneurship teaching and scholarship will continue to inspire all who knew him. The entrepreneurship special-issue will be co-edited by Fabian Eggers of Menlo College USA, Sussie Morrish of the University of Canterbury New Zealand and Jeff Covin of Indiana University.
